Venture Scout

Part-time

Join our investment team and help identify, evaluate, and support promising student startups. You'll work directly with founders and gain comprehensive VC experience.

Location: Remote (Campus-based)
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours/week
Duration: Academic year

Responsibilities:

  • Source and screen investment opportunities
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments
  • Support portfolio companies with strategic guidance
  • Participate in investment committee meetings
  • Build relationships with university ecosystems

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled at a Canadian university
  • Strong interest in startups and venture capital
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Previous startup or investment experience is a plus

Leadership

Lead Front Row Ventures operations at your university campus. Build and manage a team of venture scouts while fostering the local startup ecosystem.

Location: On-campus
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours/week
Duration: Academic year

Responsibilities:

  • Lead campus investment team and operations
  • Build relationships with university stakeholders
  • Organize campus events and workshops
  • Represent FRV at university conferences
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Front Row Ventures
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of your university ecosystem
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to commit to full academic year
